Seville International Airport Parking

If you are travelling to and from Seville Airport by car and require parking, then it is best to telephone ahead to make a booking. Car parking spaces cost from €1.20 per hour with a daily maximum of €12.00 for bookings spanning 4 days. From the fifth day onwards parking fees are just €9.60 per day. Seville Airport parking provides spaces for some 2000 cars directly opposite the terminal building.

There is no specific facility for long and short-term parking at Seville Airport, nor are there privately run, off site long-term parking facilities. What you see in front of you when leaving the terminal building is what you get in terms of parking facilities. Long and short-term parking at Seville Airport is one area that still needs to improve, given that passenger numbers have risen year on year.

Seville Airport is in southern Spain, and lies merely ten kilometers north-east of the capital Seville.

Seville Airport's stunning vaulted terminal building refers back to Spain's rich past, displaying three of the country's main cultural influences: firstly, Spain's Arabic past, secondly its major agricultural produce coming from orange tree plantations and thirdly, the Royal palace, a kind of homage to the Kings of Spain and responsible for providing the theme of the blue tiles in the terminal concourse. The airport is locally called San Pablo Airport.

In the past Seville Airport was mainly dealing with domestic air travel across Spain, but today a great number of international airlines provide flights to destinations in Europe. Airlines operating out of Seville Airport are among others SAS, Iberia, Brussels Airlines, TAP Portugal, Air Europa, Air Berlin, Ryanair and XL Airways France.

Seville Airport is well connected by road to the city centre and to other Spanish cities. The A4 motorway connects Seville Airport with the capital and in addition provides a connection to the ring road that leads to Madrid. Seville Airport taxis and buses take only a short time to take you to the central train station for onward travel by rail. There is no train station at Seville Airport.

Car hire is readily available at Seville Airport. The car hire counters for several major car rental companies can be found on the ground floor of the main terminal. Seville Airport taxis are available from just outside the terminal building. Travelling from Seville Airport to the city center takes just 15 minutes and the trip will cost around €15 to €22, depending on the time of day one travels.

For a cheap way of reaching the city center, there are regular Seville Airport buses operating between the airport and the train station in the city center. The bus stop is on the far left from the terminal exit. The half hourly service runs buses between 06.15am and 23.00 pm every week day with fewer buses running on Sundays.

Seville Airport buses need around 20 to 30 minutes to reach the city center, depending on the time of day. One can buy bus tickets on the bus, but be sure to have a few ready coins, as the driver has little change. The cost for a single bus journey is €2.40. The bus will drop passengers off in the busy road behind Seville Cathedral or at the central train station, if they wish to travel to other parts of Andalucia.

From Santa Justa train station visitors travel to Andalucía's other cities and towns or travel across Spain to see other attractions. Seville Airport taxis can drop you off at the station in Avenida de Kansas City, if you're planning to travel further by rail.

Santa Justa train station is modern and caters for a large number of travelers. AVE high-speed trains connect Seville with Cordoba, Granada, Cadiz or Madrid for example. Sleeper trains run from Seville to Barcelona.

Within Seville there are many beautiful historic monuments harking back to Spain's rich culture and heritage. Seville's 15th century Cathedral is a particular favourite with tourists as is 12th century Alcazar facing the cathedral. Alcazar is a wonderful mixture of Moorish, English and Renaissance Spanish architecture. The imposing town hall dates back to the 16th century, while Torre del Oro, a squat tower with another turret on top to give it extra height and importance, was built to protect the river from boats entering the port as they pleased.
